Guy Fawkes

Now we are all happily settled in our groups, our thoughts turn to our regular seasonal events: Guy Fawkes , Poppies and Christmas Carols .

Join us for Guy Fawkes on Saturday, 15th November at 4.30 pm (see form below). Be quick if you want to attend, as places are limited and will be attributed on a first come first served basis. Families with children are more than welcome to enjoy silly songs & sparklers !

Owing to difficulties arising from Brexit…, we now make our own poppy wreath to lay at the Commonwealth graves square in the Gaudinière cemetery on 1st November. We take part in this ceremony every year, so please join us if you feel it is important to you .

Christmas Carols will be taking place this year on Friday (not Saturday) 5th December in the early evening , with our traditional mince pies and mulled wine (invitation out soon). Let us know if you are interested in joining our little choir as there will be a couple of practises beforehand.

Don’t forget Scrabble: come along every other Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 pm for a battle of wits and to improve your vocabulary .

Save the date: the AGM will be held on Wednesday, 21st January at 7 pm.

Lastly, remember, remember… there are no conversation groups or classes during the school holidays from Monday 20th October to Saturday 1st November .
